I would like to think that I am an active participant in my community. I have taken part in many different activities in my school’s community. I participate in volleyball, and Student Council. All of these activities have helped make me an active participant of my community.

One of the activities I participate in at my school is volleyball. Before I started volleyball I had never touched a volleyball in my life. About three years ago, I joined the volleyball team at my school. The coach helped us learn the basic moves like setting, spiking, and bumping/hitting the ball. We weren’t the best, but we didn’t give up and continued to learn. I currently still play volleyball and hope to continue.

I have also participated in Student Council. In Student Council we help our community. In the past, we have helped organize fundraisers for different charities and organizations. We have helped raise money for kids in Africa, we also have had bake sales to raise money for various organizations and charities.

I have participated in several activities. I am glad that I had the opportunity to help out in my community. I can’t wait to continue and help my community.

 

 

Most people know the day after Thanksgiving as Black Friday. Black Friday is when stores have some of the biggest sales of the year. People stand outside the stores for hours until the stores officially open for Black Friday. Originally, stores would open up at 12:00 a.m. on Friday morning. Recently, however, stores have been starting their sales earlier. Many stores this year opened up on Thursday and some even opened on Wednesday.

During Black Friday people go crazy and some can get a bit a violent. I have heard of many fights breaking out over certain items. However, many people don’t assume there to be deaths due to Black Friday. There have been 9 reported deaths during Black Friday, and 102 injuries. People will do whatever they can to get something on sale during Black Friday.

Personally, I have gone Black Friday shopping a few times. I have experienced the crazy long lines and numerous sales. Sometimes there are even lines just to get into a store! It is definitely a very thrilling and exciting experience. I think that everybody should try it one day.

Overall, I think Black Friday is a very thrilling experience. On top of that, there are some great deals and you can save on a lot. However, if you are more of an online person you can wait until Cyber Monday for some deals on your favorite store’s website.

Thanksgiving isn’t the only time of the year to be thankful. We usually take many things for granted and don’t thank the people that have done so much for us. Many people have parents that do tons of things for their kids, but we never thank them for the things they do. I am thankful for many things and two of those things are my family and teachers.

I am extremely thankful for my family. Most of all, I am thankful for my parents. My parents have done so much for me. There are many things that we take for granted and one of those things is our parents. They take care of us and are there for us every step of the way and we should say thank them more often.

We also take our teachers for granted. They teach us many of the things we know today. Most people get attention for being very smart or creating certain products. However, there were teachers that taught them a lot of what they know today. So, from students all around the world I would like to say thank you to all the teachers.
